Creative Writing course online at MMU?

I am thinking of applying to do an online creative writing course. I am considering applying to Manchester Metropolitian University in the UK. Does anyone know about this course? Is it any good? Any graduates who have published their books?
I’ll never understand what is the point of such a course. If one is not creative, one shouldn’t be wasting time with writing, if one is creative, then all you need is will and discipline to write. And it’s not likely that they pretend to instill those in you through that course, so – what’s the point?
